Bruce Ennis
MD, FACC, FSCAI

Owner & Medical Director, North Shore Heart and Vascular

Dr. Bruce Ennis is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and the Owner and Medical Director of North Shore Heart and Vascular. With decades of specialized experience, he holds certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. Ennis is a Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), and he is a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine. His dedication to excellence in patient care is matched by a strong commitment to clinical research and education.

Dr. Ennis earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Miami and his medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara. He completed his residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and his cardiology and heart failure fellowships at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, where he also served as Chief Cardiology Fellow and later as Assistant Director of the Heart Failure Program and Co-Director of the Fellowship Training Program. He went on to complete a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at RUSH Presbyterian Medical Center in Chicago.

During his time in Houston, Dr. Ennis served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas and as Director of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Clinic at West Houston Medical Center. In 2010, he relocated to Louisiana’s Northshore region, where he continues to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care.

Dr. Ennis currently holds active medical staff privileges at North Oaks Medical Center, St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Lakeview Regional Medical Center, and the Cardiovascular Specialty Care Center, all in Louisiana. He also serves as the Primary Investigator in the Research Department at North Shore Heart and Vascular, contributing to the advancement of cardiovascular medicine through ongoing clinical research.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Ennis enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with his wife, Claire.

Gina Mixon
MSN, FNP-C, CVNP-BC

Gina M. Mixon is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner with nearly three decades of nursing experience. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA, and began her career with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge, LA.

Gina is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is a Board Certified Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner through the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine. She maintains active licensure with the Louisiana State Board as both a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Provider.

She holds hospital privileges at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA, and St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA. A strong advocate for professional development and collaboration, Gina is a long-standing member of the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association, the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses, the American Nurses Association, and the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she serves as a Certified Medical Examiner for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Gina is also committed to advancing cardiovascular medicine through clinical research and serves as a Sub-Investigator with North Shore Heart and Vascular Research Department.

Outside of the office, Gina enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Amanda Lavigne
MSN, FNP-C

Amanda Lavigne is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and holds active licensure with the Louisiana State Board as both a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Provider.

Amanda practices at North Shore Heart and Vascular, where she specializes in Primary Care and Internal Medicine. She brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and a strong commitment to patient-centered care, with hospital privileges at both St. Tammany Health System and LCMC Health University Healthcare Systems. She also serves as a Certified Medical Examiner for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Dedicated to advancing cardiovascular medicine, Amanda contributes to clinical research in her role as a Sub-Investigator with North Shore Heart and Vascular Research Department.

Outside of the office, Amanda enjoys hiking, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time with family and friends. She also loves caring for her dogs and goats, and treasures traveling to various National Parks with husband, son, and daughter.

Anna Marie is a dedicated nutrition professional with a strong academic and clinical background. She holds a Master of Arts in Education from the University of the Philippines, where she also completed advanced training in educational methodologies. Her journey into the health sciences began with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Santo Tomas, followed by a comprehensive clinical internship at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital.

With expertise grounded in both education and clinical practice, Anna Marie offers personalized nutrition services focused on identifying and addressing a wide range of nutrition-related concerns. She collaborates closely with clients and patients to create individualized medical nutrition therapy plans, emphasizing education, evidence-based strategies, and long-term support. Her goal is to help individuals achieve optimal health and wellness through informed, sustainable dietary choices.

Outside of her professional work, Anna Marie enjoys cooking and spending time in the garden with her family, blending her passion for food and nature into her everyday life.
